Can I pay COD?
No, payment must be made at time of booking. Our preferred method of payment is by Credit Card.
Can my boat stay at the depot a few days if I am not available to collect it?
Yes, vessels are held for a maximum of 3 days. Storage fees may apply unless prior arrangement has been made with us.
Do you provide flexible scheduling?
We have flexible scheduling to suit the requirements of our customers, however carriers are not always available everyday in some areas e.g. regional. Depot drop offs are always the most convenient and cost effective options.
Do you transport damaged vessels?
Yes we can so please explain the vessel damage on the Quote Request form. The trailer must be intact and free rolling. Nothing can be loose on the vessel.
Does the boat trailer need to be registered?
No, registration is not required as trade plates cover this. We do however require trailers to be roadworthy and serviced prior to collection as on occasions we will be towing your vessel on the road.
How long will it take to deliver my vehicle?
This will be written in your quoteas an estimation, or to obtain an estimate from one of our operators, please call our operations centre on 03 8339 0527 or Email Us. BOAT Logistics does not guarantee delivery times or promises made by their contracted carrier companies. Vessel transit times are provided by the individual contracted carriers and are estimates only. Transit times may vary due to peak periods, acts of nature and backlogs etc. Please do not plan holidays, trips and meetings using estimated transit times.
How will BOAT Logistics move my vehicle?
Our contract carriers use modern vehicle carriers via road and also rail services. Methods of transport are determined by the individual contracted carrier. Most carriers use open transporters but fully enclosed transport can be arranged at an additional cost. This enclosed service is only available to and from major capital centres.
What payment methods do you except?
We accept Credit Card (Mastercard, Visa and American Express), Direct Deposit (EFT) or Cheques. Please note that Amex payments will incur an additional surcharge.
Who provides the warranty cover to transport my boat?
Most of our contract carriers cover your vessel with a basic transit warranty from pick up to delivery. BOAT Logistics is not liable for any loss or damage to vessels, trailers, their equipment or contents during transit, as the warranty is provided by the contracted carrier. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the warranty cover, please contact the carrier/s directly for their full Terms and Conditions.
We reccomend that you have your own insurance in place and inform your insurer of your intention to transport.
